Lewis Peavler, was born June 6, 1778 in Dunmore County, Virginia. Sometime before 1807, he married Catherine. Catherine was born about 1780 in Tennessee.
Lewis served in the War of 1812 under Capt. James Upton of the Drafted Militia Infantry, 30 Reb't East Tennessee Militia. In 1834 Lewis was living in Knox County, Kentucky. Lewis died around 1850, but it is unknown whether he died in Linn County, Missouri or Knox County, Kentucky. Catherine died in about 1850 as well.
Together they were blessed with the following children: Elizabeth, Jacob, Margaret, Lewis 1807-1881, *Christopher 1812-1889, John 1813-?, Michael 1816-1869, William M. 1845-1919.

GENERATION #2
*Christopher Peavler, son of Lewis and Catherine, was born on August 12, 1812 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. In 1830 he married Virginia Anna Head. Virginia was born on September 5, 1806 in Scott County, Virginia.
In 1850 Christopher resided in Lawrence County, Indiana. Then in 1861, he owned 40 acres of land, in DeWitt County, Illinois. The family later moved to Linn County, Missouri. Christopher Peavler died on April 8, 1889 at Linn County, Missouri. Virginia died on September 21, 1889 in North Salem, Linn County, Missouri. They are both buried in the Peavler Cemetery in Linn County.
They had the following children: Dath Quincy 1831-1917, William Frank 1834-1911, *John J. 1837-1909, *Lafayette 1839-1919, Martin Henry 1841-1893, Christopher 1849-1850, and George Anthony 1850-1940.

GENERATION #3
*John J. Pevler, son of Christopher and Virginia, was born on April 21, 1837 in North Salem, Linn County, Missouri. On September 17, 1855 in Lawrence County, Indiana, he married Leona R. Maddox. Leona was the daughter of Walter and Elizabeth Tatum Maddox. Leona was born February 14, 1837 in Lawrence County, Indiana.
In 1891, John purchased 160 acres from the government in Phillips County, Colorado. John died on February 18, 1909 in Wray, Yuma County, Colorado. Leona died on May 13, 1904 in Wray, Yuma County, Colorado. They are both buried in the Glendale Cemetery in Wray, Colorado.
Together, they had the following children: Watson, William F. 1857-?, Rebecca Jane 1859-1949, John J. 1861-1946, Mary Elizabeth 1862-1947, Thomas M. 1866-?, Malissa Ann 1868-?, Isabell Nancy 1870-?, Amos Walter 1871-?, *Oscar S. 1872-1958, Rosa E. 1876-?, Alice Y. 1878-After 1958, and Andrew J. 1880-After 1958.

*Lafayette Pevler, son of Christopher and Virginia, was born on April 9, 1839 in Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana. On December 6, 1866 in McLean County, Illinois, he married Martha Ann Rhodes. Martha was born on May 7, 1851 in Moscow, Clermont County, Ohio to Elijah and Mary Ellen Taylor Rhoads/Rhodes.
In 1880, they lived in Linn County, Missouri. The moved to McLean County, Illinois sometime before 1900. By 1910, they had moved to Greenwood County, Kansas. Lafayette died on July 29, 1919 in Burlingame, Osage County, Kansas. Martha died on April 24, 1939. They are both buried in the Burlingame Community Cemetery, Osage County.
Their marriage was blessed with the following children: Sylvester Francis 1870-1955, Monroe 1871-?, Kerby S. 1873-?, *Corilla Isabel 1873-1942, Ella 1877-?, Elijah Homer 1882-1956, Gelpha J. 1884-?, and Inez 1884-1904. Gelpha and Inez, may be one and the same person, has not been proven yet.

GENERATION #4
*Oscar S. Pevler, son of John J. and Leona, was born on March 30, 1872 in LeRoy, McLean County, Illinois. On October 8, 1892, in Bloomington, McLean County, Illinois, he married Corilla Isabel Pevler, daughter of Lafayette and Martha Pevler. Corilla was born on April 24, 1873 in Salem, Linn County, Missouri.
In January of 1906, they moved Colorado to make their homestead. It was located 14 miles southwest of Wray, Yuma County, Colorado. In 1923, Oscar purchased 160 acres of land from the government in Yuma County, Colorado. Oscar died on November 14, 1958 and was buried at Glendale Cemetery in Vernon, Colorado. Corilla died on November 22, 1942 and is buried beside Oscar.
To this marriage, the following children were born: Zelphia Ella 1892-1949, Eva Isabelle 1893-1949, Edna Mae 1898-1972, *Chase William 1900-1977, Charles Leonard 1903-1985, Delbert Jack 1906-1979, Edith Lola, Walter Lee 1911-1974, and Vinnie Irene 1914-?.

GENERATION #5
*Chase William Pevler, the son of Oscar and Corilla, was born on September 15, 1900. On November 8, 1918, he married Bertha Mae Thomas, the daughter of David and Clara Levesta Smith Thomas. Bertha Mae was born on September 30, 1900 at Wray, Arapahoe County, Colorado.
In 1942, Chase lived in Ottumwa, Iowa. He later moved to Blakesburg, Iowa around 1958. Chase William Pevler died on August 30, 1977 and is buried at Crown Hill Cemetery, Denver, Denver County, Colorado. Bertha Mae Thomas Pevler, spent 32 years of her life in the State Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado. She died there on September 18, 1957. She is buried at the Blakesburg Cemetery, Blakesburg, Iowa.
Chase and Bertha were blessed with the birth of two daughters: *Velma Leona 1920-1988 and Beulah Viola 1923-?.
